iit logomarkRemote Access

Many of our subscription databases are available through any off-campus internet connection. You must have a "kentlaw" or "stuart" username and password. Do not use your email address (jsmith, not jsmith@stuart.iit.edu) and do not use your IIT network login. EZproxy does not require any installations or other configuration, just a login.

Note that once you are logged in to one electronic resource, you do not have to log in again to use other electronic resources on our electronic resources pages until you close your browser.

Password-Protected Resources

You can password-protected resources off campus only if you have been issued your own password (e.g. Lexis or Westlaw). Most password-protected databases and journals are on campus use only.

Using the Secure Certificate

Two databases, IICLE Smartbooks and BNA's Intellectual Property Library, require the secure certificate to be manually accepted. It is safe to accept the certificate in your browser and continue your research.
